Job Title: RN - Public Health Nurse Position Summary: Join our dedicated public health team as an RN - Public Health Nurse, providing vital vaccination services within the community. This role offers a flexible schedule with part-time hours, primarily focused on administering vaccines and supporting outpatient clinics and outreach events in Williamson County, Texas. Key Responsibilities: • Administer vaccines (IM and Sub-Q) at clinic sites, mobile clinics, and community offsite events, ensuring compliance with CDC guidelines and state regulations. • Perform pre-vaccination screenings, including health assessments and eligibility checks. • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of medical records within 48 hours, utilizing electronic medical records (EMR) systems. • Conduct internal chart audits, communicate findings, and facilitate appropriate referrals when necessary. • Ensure all medical equipment is in good repair and up to date with safety standards. • Stay informed about Texas Vaccines for Children (TVFC) policies, CDC vaccine guidance, and current immunization protocols. • Follow Standing Delegation Orders, Standard Operating Guidelines, and Class D Pharmacy Rules and Regulations. • Collaborate and consult with Medical Director and RN colleagues to address patient needs and clinical questions. • Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and adherence to all applicable healthcare laws and regulations. Schedule & Work Environment: • Part-time, approximately 25 hours per week. • Flexible shifts with variable hours, including training days (generally 7 am-5 pm), early evening clinics (4 pm-8 pm), and mandatory weekend clinics (2 Saturdays, 2 evenings). • Hours: max 9 hours, minimum 3-4 hours • Work primarily in clinic settings and mobile outreach events across Williamson County, including Round Rock, Cedar Park, Georgetown, and Taylor. • Mileage reimbursement provided for travel between sites. • Work environment involves both clinic and mobile community settings, often in school and public venues. Qualifications & Experience: • Valid RN license in Texas. • 1-2 years of experience in a clinic, public health, pediatrics, or primary care setting. • Proficiency in immunizations and adult/pediatric vaccination protocols. • CPR certification required. • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred. • Familiarity with Texas Vaccines for Children (TVFC) program and CDC vaccination guidelines a plus.
