
Part-Time Night Registered Nurse in Dakota Ridge, CO
Job Description
Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to deliver exceptional care to our residents during night shifts. In this role, you will plan, organize, and evaluate all aspects of resident care, ensuring that our high standards are met in accordance with State and Federal Law and community policies.
Essential Duties
• Collaborate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, pharmacists, and family members about residents' health status.
• Listen and respond to concerns from residents, families, or physicians, taking appropriate action and reporting as necessary.
• Participate in Resident Care conferences, maintaining accurate and relevant Resident Care Plans.
• Administer, document, and manage medications based on physician orders, ensuring timely replacements for expired medication.
• Document patient care issues properly and report them to relevant personnel.
• Recognize and assess signs and symptoms, using initiative and sound judgment to determine appropriate treatments.
• Supervise and guide ancillary personnel, implementing corrective actions when needed.
• Complete other assigned duties as necessary.
Basic Qualifications & Experience
• Active Colorado Registered Nursing License in good standing.
• Preferred: Advanced training in geriatrics and at least 1-year experience in a long-term care facility.
• Preferred: Supervisory experience of 1 year.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong communication skills; must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Excellent customer service skills.
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements
• Moderate physical activity; ability to handle objects up to 50 pounds occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently.
• Exposure to chemicals, blood-borne pathogens, and other infectious diseases may occur.
• Requires intermittent sitting, standing, bending, and movement during working hours.
• Frequent interruptions and interactions with residents, family members, and visitors.
