
Part Time QAPI and Compliance Coordinator (Registered Nurse) in Northport, NY
Job Description
Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) to oversee compliance and regulatory standards for our Certified Hospice and Certified Home Health Agency (CHHA). This role is perfect for an experienced RN who enjoys ensuring quality, regulatory excellence, and strong clinical documentation.
This is a 21-hour per week position with prorated benefits.
Pay: $69,000 – $81,000 per year
Your Impact:
Responsible for oversight and compliance with CMS Conditions of Participation, NYS DOH regulations, and CHAP Standards of Excellence for Certified Hospice.
What You’ll Do:
• Review patient records for completeness and regulatory compliance
• Oversee implementation and maintenance of the Compliance Plan for Hospice & CHHA
• Review and appeal Medicare and insurance denials (up to Administrative Law Judge level)
• Monitor CDC and DOH updates and share applicable guidance with staff
• Review Annual QAPI Plan and recommend new quality improvement goals
• Maintain infection control and incident logs and identify education/QAPI needs
• Respond to requests for clinical documentation and PHI
• Manage CHAP accreditation renewals and policy updates
• Initiate and oversee audits related to Plans of Correction
• Ensure timely submission of HIS data to CMS

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
• Active New York RN license
• Minimum 3 years Home Care and/or Hospice experience
• Knowledge of Conditions of Participation & hospice regulations
• Strong communication and organizational skills
