
Part-Time Registered Nurse - Acute Orthopedics in Ida, LA
Job Description
Join our dedicated team of healthcare professionals as a part-time Registered Nurse specializing in Acute Orthopedics. In this dynamic role, you will utilize your independent nursing skills within a collaborative environment and provide comprehensive care to patients with acute orthopedic conditions. As a competent nurse, you will not only manage routine and complex care but also contribute to long-term patient wellbeing by developing and implementing care plans. Your ability to adapt to various clinical situations and effectively delegate tasks will be key to your success.
Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional nursing care by applying the nursing process, which includes assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Cater to the complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families based on your level of practice.
• Administer medications and treatments following the appropriate protocols; diligently monitor for side-effects and evaluate the effectiveness of prescribed treatments.
• Meticulously document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
• Assess patients’ learning needs and deliver education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers while identifying relevant resources and issues.
Job Requirements:
Education/Skills:
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is preferred.
Experience:
• At least 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty is preferred.
Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:
• BLS certification is required.
• Active RN License in the state of employment or compact required.
