Job Summary and Qualifications
Position Overview
As a Float Pool Registered Nurse, you will work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to assess, evaluate, and implement treatment plans, ensuring the achievement of both individual and departmental goals.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain overall accountability for assigned patients.
• Respond to emergencies, including Code Blue, and manage protocols effectively.
• Monitor patient flow, preparing them for exams and providing comprehensive nursing care.
• Educate patients and families on medications and treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate patient records and administer medications as prescribed.
• Ensure examination rooms are stocked with necessary supplies.
• Manage incoming calls, which may involve phone triage as needed.
Qualifications
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program with an Associate's Degree or higher.
• Current Registered Nurse license in your practicing state or an active Compact/Multi-State RN license.
• American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Minimum of two years of full-time equivalent Acute Care RN experience.
