This position involves working part-time on the day shift from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, including weekends and holidays. You will play an essential role in delivering high-quality, patient-focused care in alignment with department requirements and nursing standards.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
• Conducting thorough assessments of patients upon admission and with each shift to quickly identify and report changes in their condition.
• Performing prescribed medical procedures and documenting care provided in patient medical records accurately and promptly.
• Administering medications and monitoring patients for therapeutic responses while managing any unexpected reactions.
• Educating patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and aftercare instructions, ensuring clear understanding.
What You Need to Succeed:
• Graduation from an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• Associate Degree required; BSN to be completed within 24 months of hire.
• Current RN license in Texas or compact license.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum one year of experience in an acute care hospital setting within the past three years.
• Orthopedic experience is highly preferred; supervisory experience is a plus.
