Part-time Registered Nurse (RN) in Newport News, VA

Company Overview Visiting Angels is seeking a_ Part-time_ (dayshift - 2 days a week) dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) to provide guidance, and support for our caregivers and clients. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring our clients receive high-quality care tailored to their needs. Responsibilities • Visit new clients in their homes to complete thorough initial nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans. • Conduct follow-up assessments to monitor clients conditions and adjust personalized care plans as needed. • Provide education and support to clients and their families regarding health management and care options. • Serve as a resource and advisor for caregivers, addressing any client-related concerns. • Collaborate with caregivers to ensure the delivery of high-quality home care services. • Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and care provided. • Assist in training and mentoring caregivers as needed. • Ensure compliance with all home care regulations and standards. Qualifications • Active RN license in the state of Virginia with at least 5years of nursing experience, preferably in home care or a related field. • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to make sound decisions. • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, caregivers and office staff. • Capable of managing documentation and scheduling assessments efficiently. • Ability to work independently while managing multiple client needs efficiently. • Compassionate nature with a strong commitment to patient care while maintaining professionalism and integrity. • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to visit clients. • Must pass a background check and drug screening. • Must be comfortable with home visits and client interactions.
