Responsibilities: • Manage and supervise nursing staff during shifts, ensuring quality care and adherence to facility standards and regulations. • Conduct or oversee thorough resident assessments, monitor health status, and collaborate with physicians and care teams to respond to changes in conditions. • Ensure accurate and timely documentation in resident records, care plans, incident reports, and compliance paperwork. • Oversee admissions, transfers, and discharges, working closely with relevant departments for smooth transitions in care. • Provide hands-on nursing care when necessary, including medications, treatments, IVs, and specimen collections, especially in times of staffing shortages. • Mentor and support nursing staff (RNs, LPNs, CNAs), assisting with guidance and addressing resident and family concerns. • Maintain compliance with all facility policies, state and federal regulations, and safety standards. Qualifications: • Valid, unrestricted RN license in Connecticut. • Prior experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting; supervisory or charge-nurse experience is a plus. • Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills. • Proficient in assessing resident needs and making sound clinical judgments. • Dependable, with a strong track record of attendance and a team-oriented approach to care.
