RESPONSIBILITIES: • Oversee nursing staff during your shift, ensuring care delivery meets facility standards and regulatory requirements. • Conduct comprehensive resident assessments, monitor health status, and collaborate with physicians and the care team as necessary. • Ensure compliance with thorough documentation, including resident records and incident reports. • Manage admissions, transfers, and discharges, ensuring seamless care transitions with various departments. • Provide direct nursing care (medications, treatments, IVs, specimen collection) during emergencies or staffing shortages. • Support and mentor nursing staff, serving as a key contact for staff and resident/family concerns. • Ensure adherence to facility policies, regulations, and safety standards. QUALIFICATIONS: • Valid, unrestricted RN license in Connecticut. • Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing environments; supervisory experience preferred. • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. • Skilled at assessing resident needs, coordinating care, and making sound clinical decisions. • Reliable team player with a collaborative spirit.
