Position: Registered Nurse (RN) Part-Time
About the Role:
Emmanuel Hospice is excited to welcome a compassionate and dedicated Part-Time RN into our interdisciplinary hospice care team. In this rewarding position, you will provide skilled nursing care, education, and vital support to patients and families across various care settings. As a part-time nurse, your contributions will be essential in assisting our nursing team with assessments, treatment planning, and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout our service area.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough and ongoing assessments of patients' physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs.
• Develop, evaluate, and update individualized treatment plans in collaboration with our interdisciplinary team.
• Deliver skilled nursing care, including wound care, IVs, blood draws, and catheter management.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about symptom management, disease processes, and hospice philosophy.
• Coordinate care with physicians, hospice providers, and team members for exemplary end-of-life support.
• Assist with bereavement counseling and provide emotional support to families and caregivers.
• Perform urgent need visits and provide post-mortem care, including family support and pronouncement of death.
• Supervise and evaluate Hospice Aide services with periodic on-site visits.
• Ensure compliance with Emmanuel Hospice policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Travel within our service area to visit patient homes and healthcare facilities.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Valid Registered Nurse license in the State of Michigan.
• BSN preferred; Associate degree/diploma required.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required, with at least 1 year in acute care or hospice preferred.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records is necessary.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to push, pull, move, and/or lift up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortably work in various environments, including patient homes and healthcare facilities.
• Frequent travel required within the Emmanuel Hospice service area.
