Location: Angelina Mental Health Clinic - Lufkin, TX
Position Number: P #505
Schedule: Monday-Friday | Up to 29 hours per week
Compensation: $33.00 per hour
Position Overview
Burke is seeking a Part-Time RN to provide nursing services to adult and adolescent patients in our Outpatient Mental Health Clinics. This position supports clinical operations under the direction of the Director of Nursing and requires travel to satellite clinics throughout Burke's 11-county service area.
The RN plays an important role in medication administration, patient education, care coordination, and documentation while supporting safe and effective outpatient services.
Key Responsibilities
• Administer injections and complete nursing assessments
• Obtain and document medication consents
• Manage indigent medication programs and refill prescriptions
• Complete prior authorizations for medications
• Respond to patient phone inquiries
• Operate telemedicine equipment for clinical services
• Maintain medication inventory and documentation
• Provide patient education related to medications and care
• Coordinate visits with pharmaceutical representatives
• Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education
• Required: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
• Required: Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Texas Board of Nursing Examiners
Experience
• Preferred: At least six (6) months of experience as an RN in a medical or mental health setting
Licenses & Certifications
• Required: Texas Registered Nurse (RN)in good standing
• Required: Valid Texas driver's license
Special Requirements
• Ability to complete SAMA, CPR, First Aid, and Defensive Driving training
• Driving record must be insurable under Burke's insurance administrator
• Reliable transportation required
Physical Requirements
• Ability to see, hear, speak, walk, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Hand and finger dexterity for documentation and clinical tasks
