Part-Time Supervising Registered Nurse (RN) in New Hyde Park, NY

We are a growing start-up home care company seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Supervising Registered Nurse (RN) to assist in building and maintaining clinical excellence and regulatory compliance. The Supervising RN will oversee clinical operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and support quality patient care delivery in accordance with New York State Department of Health (DOH) regulations under the guidance of the Director of Patient Services This position offers strong potential for professional growth and expanded leadership responsibilities as the agency grows. Key Responsibilities: • Assign and oversee initial and reassessment nursing evaluations • Complete and review comprehensive patient assessments • Develop, review, and update Plans of Care (POC) • Prepare and manage CMS-485 forms (where applicable) • Ensure timely physician order processing and follow-up • Maintain regulatory compliance in accordance with NYS DOH requirements • Maintain and monitor compliance logs, including: • Governing Authority meeting minutes • Quality assurance meeting minutes • Incident reports • Complaint logs • Patient discharge documentation • Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities • Assist with survey readiness and policy implementation • Collaborate with administration to ensure adequate clinical oversight • Provide clinical guidance and supervision to field staff as needed Qualifications • Active New York State RN license in good standing • Minimum 2–3 years of home care experience preferred but not required • Experience with LHCSA regulations and DOH compliance strongly preferred • Knowledge of care planning and physician order management • Experience managing 485 forms preferred • Strong organizational and documentation skills • Ability to work independently Growth Opportunity: As a start-up organization, this role offers the opportunity to: • Transition into a full-time Clinical Supervisor or Director-level role as census increases • Play a key leadership role in agency expansion and survey preparation Job Type: Part-time Pay: $45.00 - $90.00 per hour Expected hours: 8 – 20 per week Work Location: In person
