Position: Patient Navigator/Registered Nurse (RN) - Cancer Care Brunswick Description Mid Coast Hospital Nursing Req #: 58033 For a limited time, Maine Health is offering up to $10,000 Sign‑on bonus for all eligible Registered Nurses with 1-2 years of experience and $20,000 for experienced Registered Nurses with greater than 2 years of experience! Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time RN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires; per diem hires are ineligible. Current Maine Health member employees are ineligible; former Maine Health Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment. Summary The Patient Navigator Registered Nurse - Cancer Care role guides patients through the care continuum, establishing contact with recurrent and newly diagnosed cancer patients and/or family members, or caregivers. The Patient Navigator will understand the clinical pathways established by the Oncology Program and will direct the patients to health care services within the organization, at outside facilities, and within the community for timely diagnosis, treatment and survivorship. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) • Education: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing required. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required or must complete BSN within three years of start date. • License/ Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Oncology certification or defined process for achieving certification required. • Experience: Experience working with oncology patients and families preferred.
