PCU Registered Nurse Job Details

Assignment Type: Locum tenens / Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Location: Derry, New Hampshire (03038) Southern NH healthcare jobs Unit: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Start Date: August 25, 2025 End Date: November 24, 2025 Contract Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM (12-hour night shifts) Hours per Week: 36 Patient Ratio: 4:1 Unit Size: 20 beds Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

PCU RN Qualifications

Active Compact Registered Nurse (RN) License must be valid at time of application Minimum 2 years of recent Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience in a hospital setting BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required Strong dysrhythmia recognition and critical drip management experience Excellent communication, teamwork, and clinical support skills Self-directed, confident, and positive attitude

PCU Registered Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to PCU patients, including cardiac monitoring, managing cardiac drips, and recognizing dysrhythmias Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure patient-centered care Utilize GE cardiac monitoring systems and Hospira IV pumps Accurately document patient care using Expanse EMR Float as needed to Med Surg, ICU (for border patients), and Emergency Department (ED holds) Maintain professionalism and adhere to all unit policies and healthcare guidelines Work every other weekend or as required by staffing needs
