PCU / Stepdown Nurse (RN) | Cleveland, Ohio in Bratenahl, OH

A specialized opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with expertise in stepdown care to support patients with advanced cardiac and pulmonary conditions. This contract position is located in Cleveland, OH, within a facility known for its advanced heart failure and complex cardiac care. Nurses in this role will manage patients with varied conditions including pulmonary hypertension, electrolyte imbalanced dysrhythmias, tachy-brady syndromes, and those requiring specialized cardiac interventions.

Key Responsibilities :
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with advanced heart failure and complex cardiac issues.
• Manage care for patients with implantable cardiac devices such as pacemakers, defibrillators, and Ventricular Assistive Devices (VAD).
• Monitor and assist patients before and after cardiac catheterization, ablation procedures, and chemical cardioversion treatments.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, safe, and effective patient care.
• Serve as a support for hospitalist services, providing broader medical-surgical nursing experience as needed.

Desired Experience :
• Current RN licensure with experience in stepdown or progressive care units.
• Strong knowledge of cardiac and pulmonary patient care, including familiarity with implantable cardiac devices.
• Ability to manage complex dysrhythmias and advanced cardiac therapies.
• Excellent critical thinking and patient assessment skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
