PCU / Stepdown Nurse (RN) | Heath, Ohio in Franklin, OH

This opportunity seeks an experienced registered nurse to provide skilled care in a cardiac step-down unit. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in cardiac nursing with at least three years of experience managing complex patients, including those recovering from open-heart surgery and using cardiac drips.

Responsibilities include delivering high-quality nursing care during a night shift schedule (7 p.m. to 7 : 30 a.m.), typically working 36 hours per week. Shifts include every third weekend and one holiday, with no on-call required except in rare circumstances. This position requires flexibility to float to other units when necessary, supporting overall patient care needs. The professional will use clinical judgment to manage cardiac and med-surgical patients, including heart cath recovery cases, while efficiently navigating the electronic medical record system.

Qualifications and Desired Experience :
• Current RN license
• Minimum of three years cardiac step-down nursing experience
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Expertise in open-heart postoperative care and ventilator management
• Familiarity with Epic EMR system
• Ability to adapt in a dynamic clinical environment with occasional unit floating
