PCU/Stepdown Nurse (RN) | Camden, New Jersey in Camden, NJ

A skilled registered nurse with step-down and critical care experience is needed for a contract position within a dynamic critical care unit float pool. This role involves providing high-quality nursing care across multiple campus locations, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes in a fast-paced clinical environment. Qualifications and Experience: • Minimum of 2 years current experience in ICU and Medical-Surgical Telemetry (MST) • Required certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NHI • Valid New Jersey or Compact nursing license at time of submission • Experience with Cerner EMR system preferred • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills • Ability to float between multiple campuses, including Regional Medical Center (RMC), Hopewell, and MST as needed Responsibilities: • Provide care for critically ill patients in the Stepdown and Critical Care Float Pool • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care • Respond effectively to changes in patient condition and escalate care appropriately • Maintain compliance with facility policies, including flu vaccination policy (flu vaccination required—no declination allowed) • Work every other weekend and every other holiday in alignment with staffing needs • Adhere to dress code requirements (navy blue scrubs) Schedule: • Every other weekend • Every other holiday This contract role offers an exciting opportunity to leverage critical care nursing skills in a versatile float position while working with a committed healthcare team.
