Location & Setting:
Located in Clarksville, TN, this role is set within a 121-bed medical center equipped with Cerner EMR, serving a diverse patient population with a patient ratio of approximately 1:4. The step-down unit utilizes navy scrubs and supports nurses in delivering exceptional care to critically ill patients stepping down from ICU levels.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the step-down unit
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and response to treatment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
• Utilize electronic medical records (Cerner) for documentation and communication
• Adapt to floating assignments within nursing units as needed

Qualifications and Experience:
• Active Tennessee RN license required
• Minimum 1 year overall nursing experience and 1-2 years specifically in step-down or ICU settings
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• Ability to work night shifts and float across units
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
