PCU/Stepdown Nurse (RN) | Joelton, Tennessee in Berry Hill, TN

Providing advanced nursing care in a dynamic step-down unit requires skill, critical thinking, and compassion. This opportunity is ideal for registered nurses with experience in step-down or ICU settings seeking a contract role in Joelton, TN. The position involves working day shifts, delivering high-quality patient care in a 121-bed hospital environment with a patient ratio of 1:4.

Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor and assess patients transitioning from intensive care to less acute conditions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Administer medications and treatments according to protocols
• Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and families
• Utilize EMR systems (Cerner) accurately for documentation and communication
• Adhere strictly to hospital policies and safety protocols

Qualifications and Desired Experience:
• Valid Tennessee RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (ARC or AHA only)
• Minimum of 1 year nursing experience required
• At least 1-2 years of experience in step-down or ICU nursing
• Ability to work day shifts with no call or block schedules
• Comfortable wearing navy scrubs as part of the dress code
