Overnight Pediatric Nurse – Newborn Care Job Type: PRN/Part time Schedule: Overnight shifts (typically evenings through early mornings) Location: Utah county and surrounding areas Pay: 35-40 per hour Job Description We are seeking a compassionate, experienced Pediatric Nurse to provide overnight care for newborns. This role focuses on ensuring the infant’s safety, comfort, and well-being throughout the night while supporting healthy sleep routines and monitoring any medical or developmental needs. The ideal candidate is calm, attentive, and highly skilled in newborn care. Responsibilities • Provide attentive overnight care for newborns, including feeding, diapering, soothing, and comforting • Monitor vital signs, sleep patterns, and overall health during overnight hours • Administer medications or treatments as prescribed (if applicable) • Recognize and respond promptly to any signs of distress or medical concerns • Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing sleep environment • Accurately document overnight care, feedings, and observations • Communicate clearly with parents/caregivers regarding the infant’s overnight status • Follow all pediatric nursing standards, safety protocols, and family care plans Qualifications • Active and valid RN license • Pediatric and/or neonatal nursing experience required • Strong knowledge of newborn development and care practices • CPR and BLS certification • Ability to work independently and remain alert during overnight shifts • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor • Experience with newborns in home care, NICU, postnatal or Pediatric setting • Experience supporting sleep routines or overnight infant care Pay: From $40.00 per hour Work Location: In person
