Full-Time | 36 Hours Weekly | Straight Shift Compensation Grade: NURSE-D-018 About the Role Mercy St. Louis is seeking a Pediatric Transport Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated team. This role is critical in providing high-quality care during helicopter transfers for pediatric patients. You will utilize the nursing process to assess, stabilize, and perform necessary diagnostic and therapeutic interventions during transport, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the journey.
Position Details:
Key Responsibilities Assess and stabilize patients during helicopter transfers. Perform diagnostic and therapeutic interventions as needed. Maintain professional accountability for patient care. Coordinate care with other departments and multidisciplinary teams. Ensure patient rights and confidentiality are upheld. Document care plans, interventions, and outcomes accurately. Participate in process improvement activities and professional development. Maintain required certifications and competencies (BLS, ACLS, PALS). Delegate and guide unlicensed health care providers and LPNs appropriately.
Qualifications
Education:
Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program. Licensure:
Current RN license in the state of Missouri or compact licensure.
Certifications:
BLS, ACLS, PALS (must be obtained within the required timeframe).
Physical Requirements:
