A nursing opportunity is available for an experienced Pediatric RN with a strong background in medical-surgical and hematology/oncology care. This position focuses on supporting children and adolescents, ages 0-17, in a fast-paced hospital environment. The role is ideal for those with chemo administration skills and pediatric certification, seeking a challenging and rewarding contract assignment in Concord, NC. Key Responsibilities: • Provide compassionate and comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients with medical-surgical and hematology/oncology diagnoses. • Safely administer chemotherapy treatments and manage related care protocols. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including float assignments to PICU and NICU units. • Utilize hospital systems such as Pyxis, Epic, and SBAR for documentation and medication administration. • Participate in hospital orientation and unit-specific training to integrate seamlessly into the care team. Qualifications and Desired Experience: • Minimum of 2 years nursing experience in pediatrics required. • BCLS and PALS certifications mandatory. • Chemotherapy administration skills preferred. • Experience with IV start and lab draws highly valued. • Unit accepts first-time travelers meeting experience requirements as well as local candidates. • Able to float to Pediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care Units. Schedule: • 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM. • Approximately 36 hours per week, working every other weekend. • Self-scheduling with a focus on consistency and patient care continuity.
