Pediatrics Registered Nurse - South Portland, Maine in Cape Elizabeth, ME

A Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in home health care is needed for a contract position based in South Portland, ME. This role focuses on providing in-home care to pediatric patients with a diverse range of needs, working closely within a collaborative team environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with home healthcare delivery, particularly using Epic and OASIS systems, and be skilled in managing multiple patient visits daily.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:
• Current RN license with at least 2 years of nursing experience
• BLS certification required
• Experience with Epic electronic medical records and OASIS documentation
• Home health care experience preferred
• Skilled in IV therapy, tube feeding, wound care, VAC dressings, compression wraps, port access, ostomy care, and other specialized nursing procedures
• Strong organizational skills, communication, and the ability to manage time effectively
• Ability to work independently, collaborate within a team, and maintain thorough documentation

Schedule/Hours:
• Day shift, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• 40 guaranteed weekly hours
• Weekend rotations every other weekend with a weekday off, or permanent Tuesday–Saturday or Sunday–Thursday schedule options
• No overnight call; callback 2–4 times monthly between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM as needed

Responsibilities:
• Manage a caseload of 20-25 patients with 5-6 visits daily
• Provide comprehensive nursing assessments and ongoing care management in patients’ homes
• Utilize agency-provided technology and supplies for efficient documentation and care delivery
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team

• No jeans, open-toed shoes, or clothing with holes
