Granite Recovery Center is searching for a compassionate and skilled Per Diem Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to help us deliver exceptional care in a team-focused environment.

Position Summary:

The APRN reports directly to the Medical Director and is crucial in managing the day-to-day medical care of our clients. Responsibilities include conducting intake assessments, diagnosing, and treating both acute and chronic conditions while collaborating with nursing and clinical teams to provide safe, effective, and compassionate care in our detox and residential treatment settings.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform comprehensive physical assessments during the admissions process.
• Identify and document acute and chronic medical concerns.
• Work with the nursing team and other departments for coordinated care.
• Provide medical oversight, including diagnosing and treating illnesses, injuries, and infections.
• Educate clients on prescribed medications, including potential side effects.
• Ensure timely, non-judgmental documentation in compliance with state and insurance standards.
• Make appropriate referrals and collaborate with external providers as necessary.
• Maintain clear and professional communication with staff and leadership.
• Participate in quality assurance audits and peer reviews.
• Offer on-call support and emergency response as required.

Qualifications:
• Active APRN licensure and certification in New Hampshire and Maine (or ability to obtain).
• Current CPR and First Aid certification (available onsite).
• DEA license preferred.
• Malpractice insurance coverage.
• Experience with individuals facing substance use disorders, mental illness, or homelessness preferred.
• Strong commitment to collaborative, team-based care.
• Proficiency in EMR and accurate documentation skills.
• Ability to stay calm and exercise sound judgment in high-pressure situations.
• Must meet all pre-employment requirements: background checks, drug screening, reference checks, license verification, etc.
