Per Diem Clinical Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department in Santa Fe, NM

Description We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Nurse (RN) for our Emergency Department. Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nursing. CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license. BLS Certification is required or must be obtained within 2 weeks of hire. All other required certifications must be achieved within 6 months of hire. Nurses with certifications at the time of hire must maintain them without a grace period for renewal. SKILLS: • Current knowledge and skills for the patient population served. • Understanding and sensitivity to patients' rights in care delivery. • Effective communication skills appropriate to the developmental age of the patient. EXPERIENCE: NATURE OF SUPERVISION: - Responsible to: Patient Care Director or Manager. ENVIRONMENT: • Exposure to bloodborne pathogens and infectious diseases. • Work in a clean, well-lit, ventilated, smoke-free setting. • Ability to adapt to varying work hours and demands due to unexpected changes and emergencies. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must manage emergency situations effectively. This role requires prolonged standing and walking, as well as the physical ability to transfer and position patients or equipment. The position demands considerable reaching, bending, kneeling, and crouching. Vision and hearing must be within normal or correctable limits, along with dexterity and fine motor coordination.
