Per Diem Clinical Nurse (RN) - Inpatient Orthopedics in Chimayo, NM

Requirements: Minimum Qualifications: Education: Graduated from an accredited Registered Nursing program. Certification/Licenses: Must hold a current New Mexico RN license or a current Compact state license. BLS Certification is required by the end of your first two weeks of hiring. All other necessary certifications must be acquired within six months of hire. If certifications are held at the time of hire, they must be maintained, with no grace period for renewal. Skills: • Current knowledge and skills applicable to the age/type of patient population served. • Understanding and sensitivity to patients' rights in care delivery. • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, suited to the developmental stage of patients. Experience: Nature of Supervision: Responsible to: Patient Care Director or Manager. Environment: • Exposure to Bloodborne pathogens and infectious diseases (patient care areas). • Work environment is clean, well-lit, ventilated, and smoke-free, with potential for stressful professional interactions. • Varied working hours with flexibility required due to unexpected schedule changes and emergencies. Physical Requirements: Candidates must be capable of handling emergency and crisis situations. Role includes prolonged periods of standing and walking, and heavy lifting to position, push, or transfer patients and equipment. This position requires considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching, alongside the ability to judge distance and see peripherally. Visual and hearing acuity must be normal or correctable, along with manual dexterity and fine motor coordination.
