Requirements
• EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
• CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: Active New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license. BLS Certification is required within 2 weeks of hire. All other necessary certifications must be secured within 6 months of your hire date. Existing certifications must be maintained without grace periods for renewal.
• SKILLS: Demonstrated current knowledge and skills relevant to the patient population served. Ability to understand and advocate for patient rights during care. Communicate clearly and effectively, tailored to the developmental stage of each patient.

NATURE OF SUPERVISION:
Report to the Patient Care Director or Manager.
ENVIRONMENT:
• Exposure to Bloodborne pathogen C (OR, PACU, L&D).
• Exposure to Bloodborne pathogen B (other Patient Care areas).
• Potential exposure to infectious diseases and x-rays.
Work in a clean, well-lighted, ventilated, smoke-free environment. The role may involve stressful professional relationships and requires flexibility to adjust to unexpected changes and emergencies in schedule.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Capable of managing emergency situations, including prolonged standing and walking. Heavy physical effort required to position, push, and transfer patients and equipment. Frequent reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching are necessary. Must have the ability to judge distance and space relationships, see peripherally, distinguish colors, and possess hearing and visual acuity within normal or correctable limits. Manual dexterity and fine motor coordination are essential.
