Required Certifications & Skills Skills : Labor & Delivery, Use of EFM (External Fetal Heart Monitoring), Use of External Fetal Monitoring, Use of Internal Fetal Monitoring, Use of IUPC (Intrauterine pressure catheter) placement and calibration, Recognition and Treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns, Drawing Venous Blood, Starting and maintaining IVs, Use of infusion pumps / drips / IV monitoring, Antihypertensives, Insulin drips, Magnesium Sulfate therapy, Pitocin (oxytocin), Prostaglandins, Terbutaline, Amnioinfusion, Assist with high risk delivery, Assist with vaginal delivery, Circulate for C-section, Forceps / vacuum extraction, Hemorrhage / shock, Recover C-Section, APGAR scores, Baby Nurse (“Baby Catcher”), ID / Security Banding, Neonatal Resuscitation, Radiant Warmers / Thermoregulation, Infant Identification, Newborn Assessment, Newborn hypoglycemia, Thermoregulation, Epidural Anesthesia, General Anesthesia, IV conscious sedation, Nitrous Oxide, Opioids, Pain assessment & management, Breastfeeding Support / lactation support, Foley catheter insertion / management, Fundus / lochia / perineum care, Use of Electric / Manual breast pump, Wound assessment / care, Vaginal Delivery, Cesarean Section, Bladder Distension, Couplet Care, Multiple Births, Postpartum Hemorrhage, Pregnancy induced hypertension
