Join our dynamic team as a Per Diem Registered Nurse, where you will receive competitive pay including a 17% differential for Weekday Nights, 26% for Weekend Nights, and 15% for Weekend Day shifts. Minimum Offer: $40.30/hr Maximum Offer: $40.30/hr Compensation Disclaimer: Compensation for this role is based on various factors such as experience, education, and organizational considerations. Position Summary: As a Per Diem Registered Nurse, you will provide direct nursing care to patients across various specialties, such as PCU, ICU, and ED, while promoting a positive work environment and high quality of patient care. Compliance with hospital and departmental policies is essential. The minimum requirement includes working two shifts per schedule, with one weekend shift and one summer and one winter holiday required. Note that this position does not qualify for out-of-area float pay. Key Responsibilities: • Deliver safe and effective direct care to assigned patients. • Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement and document individualized care plans. • Assist with special tests and procedures, ensuring proper consent is obtained. • Participate in training and evaluation of new personnel after completing preceptor training. • Assist in emergency measures for sudden patient changes. • Ensure patient medical records are complete and accurate. • Administer medications and document clinical findings accurately. • Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and families. • Promote professional growth through educational programs and workshops. • Adhere to and support patient safety protocols. • Encourage active participation of patients in their care. Qualifications: Education: Essential: Nursing program graduate Nonessential: Bachelor's degree Experience: Essential: 1 year of directly related experience Nonessential: None preferred Credentials: Essential: CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuers within 30 days, RN license in NM or as approved by reciprocal agreement with NM Nonessential: National certification in specialty area, PALS, TNCC, and/or ENPC Physical Conditions: Heavy work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently. Working Conditions: Working with significant hazards including chemicals and biohazardous materials requiring PPE. Tuberculosis testing is completed upon hire and periodically as required.
