Position Overview:
The Perinatal Quality and Safety Registered Nurse will be a crucial member of the leadership team, responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of obstetric patient safety and quality initiatives. Responsibilities will include overseeing national perinatal patient safety measures and ensuring adherence to Joint Commission standards for Maternal Safety. Additionally, this nurse will act as a champion for the Maternal Quality and Safety Program, developing and executing patient-centered safety initiatives in collaboration with the healthcare team, and reporting directly to the Perinatal Safety Nurse Program Manager and Nursing Leadership.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Active RN License, Fetal Monitoring Certification, NRP, and BLS certification
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in obstetrics and labor & delivery
• Understanding of implementation science
• Experience in designing and executing simulations
• Familiar with Epic and proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite
