Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Float (ER, Med/Surg, Progressive Care Unit) Location: Claremont, NH Rate: $31.00 $43.00/hour + Full Benefits Shift: 12-Hour Nights | 36 Hours/Week Guaranteed Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend Position Summary: We are seeking a versatile Registered Nurse (RN) for a Float Pool position to provide high-quality care across the Emergency Room (ER), Medical/Surgical (Med/Surg), and Progressive Care Unit (PCU). The Float RN will coordinate and deliver comprehensive nursing care, collaborating across departments and adapting to a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This is a resource role requiring flexibility, critical thinking, and the ability to function independently in multiple units. Essential Responsibilities: • Conduct full head-to-toe assessments and reassessments per policy across age groups: pediatric, adult, and geriatric. • Accurately assess and manage pain using appropriate techniques and education. • Formulate, revise, and evaluate individualized care plans based on patient response. • Administer medications safely using the Six Rights of Medication Administration. • Demonstrate strong knowledge of medications and treatments relevant to patient age and condition. • Assist physicians with procedures; perform technical skills within scope of licensure. • Proficient in cardiac monitoring, rhythm recognition, and ACLS-based interventions. • Monitor and interpret hemodynamic data; respond to clinical changes quickly and appropriately. • Provide specialized care for patients with compromised metabolic/nutritional and fluid/electrolyte needs. • Educate patients and families to ensure understanding and compliance with care plans. • Communicate effectively with physicians, coworkers, and interdisciplinary team members. • Remain organized and perform well in high-pressure, time-sensitive situations. • Support unit functions including transfers, admissions, and procedural assistance.
