Compensation : $87,000.00 $114,000.00 annually + Full Benefits
Schedule : Full-Time | Day Shift
Job Overview :
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to lead and support Quality and Accreditation Management efforts across our healthcare organization. This role is essential in maintaining regulatory compliance, supporting continuous accreditation readiness, and driving performance improvement initiatives. The RN will serve as a clinical expert and leader in quality, safety, and compliance, partnering with clinical and administrative teams to uphold high standards of patient care and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities :
Apply advanced clinical knowledge and critical thinking to lead quality and accreditation efforts.
Coordinate regulatory surveys and ensure continuous readiness for accreditation (TJC, CMS, OSHA, DNV).
Facilitate investigations and reporting of significant clinical events.
Participate in and support medical staff peer review processes and performance evaluations.
Conduct detailed medical record reviews, analyze data trends, and develop improvement strategies.
Facilitate education and training related to quality, accreditation, safety, and regulatory standards.
Lead or participate in relevant committees and interdisciplinary teams.
Support development and maintenance of a robust, Consortium-wide Quality Management (QM) Plan.
Ensure integration of quality programs across hospital and ambulatory settings.
Identify, prepare, and track peer review cases in collaboration with the Medical Director and CMO.
Monitor regulatory standards, lead internal audits, and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
Act as a resource for staff and leadership on regulatory and quality improvement practices.
Investigate safety concerns or risk factors and initiate appropriate mitigation strategies.
Collaborate closely with the QM Manager and front-line leadership on quality and risk management initiatives.
Required Qualifications :
Current, unrestricted RN license in Alaska
Direct hires must have applied before the start date; agency staff must be fully licensed prior to assignment.
Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or equivalent certification - must be obtained within 3 years of hire.
BLS Certification American Heart Association
Experience Required :
Minimum of 3 years of experience monitoring quality and regulatory requirements and implementing process changes.
Demonstrated leadership in facilitating cross-functional teams and collaborative initiatives.
Knowledge & Skills :
Strong knowledge of healthcare accreditation and regulatory requirements (acute, ambulatory, behavioral health).
Understanding of quality improvement, patient safety, medical peer review, and risk management principles.
Proficient in clinical data analytics and medical record review.
Solid grasp of medical standards of care and group facilitation processes.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Abilities :
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to lead quality improvement initiatives across multiple departments.
Skilled in prioritizing and managing complex tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to effectively collaborate and influence across organizational levels.
