JOB SUMMARYThe Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is a skilled member of the health team who provides medical and educational services to patients under the supervision of a licensed physician, according to Nurse Practitioner Protocol, and within the scope of the Nurse Practitioner License in the State of Wisconsin.JOB QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATIONFor positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.Minimum Required: Graduate of a nationally accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Program.Preferred/Optional: NoneEXPERIENCE Minimum Required: NonePreferred/Optional: Two years nursing experience or one to two years’ experience in specialtyCERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.Minimum Required: Current Applicable State Nurse License or Nurse Compact License, and Nurse Practitioner Licensure or Physician Assistant License . Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) License. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire.
