Job Description
A nursing opportunity is available for an experienced RN specializing in Pediatric Intensive Care. This position focuses on providing expert care for pediatric patients, including those with epilepsy and complex neurological conditions, extending care to patients up to 25 years old. The role requires dedication to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced critical care environment.
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
• Minimum 18 months of permanent experience in Pediatric Intensive Care prior to assignment
• At least 18 months of recent pediatric nursing experience; previous travel experience is acceptable
• Current Ohio nursing license or Compact State licensure
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
• Skills in EKG interpretation, inotrope administration, NIHHS knowledge preferred
• Familiarity with epilepsy monitoring and specialized pediatric patient care
• Ability to successfully complete ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety assessments during orientation

Responsibilities:
• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to pediatric intensive care patients, incorporating specialized epilepsy monitoring
• Administer medications and manage inotropes with precision and safety
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain compliance with hospital operational needs including variable shift rotations (7pm-7:30am & 7am-7:30pm)
• Participate in required trainings and assessments such as ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate certifications
• Work at least every other holiday as scheduled
Schedule/Hours:
• Night shifts: 3x12-hour shifts per week (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
• Rotating shifts may be required to meet hospital operational needs
