Position Overview:
As a Registered Nurse in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), you will:
• Provide exemplary patient-centered care utilizing the nursing process.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate optimal patient care.
• Communicate effectively regarding patient's clinical conditions and rapidly respond to any changes.
• Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of growth and development principles to provide age-appropriate care.
• Champion the nursing profession through supportive interactions with colleagues.
In this role, you will report to the Clinical Nurse Manager.
Key Competencies:
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Basic computer skills.
Qualifications:
• Graduation from an accredited Nursing school and current licensure in the State of Connecticut.
• Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required upon hire or must be obtained during the introductory orientation period.
