Job Description
As a Post-Anesthesia Care Unit Registered Nurse (PACU RN), you will play a critical role in monitoring and caring for patients recovering from anesthesia. Your responsibilities will include:
• Assessing patients' health status prior to surgery.
• Overseeing vital signs and executing necessary interventions.
• Changing bandages and administering medications as required.
• Educating patients and families about home care instructions for post-operative recovery.
• Managing respiratory instability and monitoring cardiac activity.
• Evaluating patients’ conditions after surgery, ensuring vital signs remain stable.
• Notifying the healthcare team of any changes in patients' conditions.
• Executing intervention duties in case of post-operative emergencies.
