Job Summary and Qualifications We are in search of a dedicated PACU Nurse for our ambulatory surgery center, who embodies the values of caring like family. You will be responsible for providing safe and effective nursing care postoperatively until the patient is discharged. Your expertise will help maintain our center's legacy of employing qualified nurses aligned with our mission and vision. What you will do in this role: • Prepare patient care areas and ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are available. • Demonstrate proper airway management techniques. • Monitor patients, including vital signs and temperature. • Exhibit proper techniques for IV catheter insertion, maintenance, and removal. • Perform and document a comprehensive evaluation utilizing an approved scoring system per HCA protocol. • Check dressings and operative sites, reporting any abnormalities to the surgeon. • Create a safe and comforting environment for patients and their families. • Ensure all patients meet discharge criteria. Qualifications you will need: • Associate Degree in Nursing or higher is required. • 1+ years of nursing experience in a clinical setting, ideally in PACU, ICU, or Surgery. • An active RN license as required by the state of employment. • BCLS Certification upon employment (online certification is not acceptable). • ACLS certification required within 30 days of hire. • PALS if required by the facility within 30 days of hire.
