Job Description
Provide specialized nursing care in a post-anesthesia care unit, focusing on delivering age-specific and direct patient care with professionalism and compassion. This role involves utilizing the nursing process within established departmental and specialty standards to ensure high-quality care. Leadership responsibilities include delegating tasks appropriately and supporting a collaborative clinical environment.
Responsibilities:
• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia.
• Apply the Nursing Process in alignment with department and specialty standards.
• Lead and delegate nursing tasks to other team members effectively.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal healthcare laws, regulations, and policies.
• Maintain active ACLS, BLS, and PALS (or ENPC) certifications prior to the start of the assignment.
Qualifications:
• Licensed Registered Nurse with experience in post-anesthesia care.
• Active certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS (or ENPC), or scheduled to complete upon orientation.
• Strong leadership and delegation skills.
• Ability to work within regulatory guidelines and maintain high standards of patient care.
