What You'll Do: • Setting: Inpatient behavioral hospital. • Type/Schedule: Part time, PRN, weekend, and holiday coverage • Conduct comprehensive medical assessments, including initial history and physicals (H&Ps) within 24 hours of admission, follow-ups, and discharge planning. • Patient population: Ages 6-65. • Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, and support staff to create integrated treatment plans addressing medical and mental health needs. • Participate in treatment team meetings to ensure cohesive and comprehensive patient care. • Co-manage patients with complex medical comorbidities alongside mental health providers. • Educate patients and families on medical conditions, medications, and lifestyle adjustments to enhance overall health. • Provide medical consults and recommend diagnostic tests and treatments as needed. What We're Looking For: • Licensure: Active Alaska NP/APRN license or the ability to obtain licensure. • Education: Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program. • Certification: AANPCB Board Certification. • Experience: Minimum 1 year of post-training experience in an inpatient or acute care setting preferred (behavioral health experience a plus).
