Summary:

Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the Adult Internal Medicine (AIMS) Triage and Cross Cover physicians to collect and report patient data to facilitate proper placement and maximize hospital resources.
• Optimize patient flow by performing comprehensive assessments, gathering vital information, initiating treatments per Nurse Initiated Protocols, and coordinating patient assignments to physicians for admission or further diagnostics.
• Respond promptly to the Cross Cover pager, addressing patient concerns and identifying critical conditions that require immediate intervention to prevent deterioration.
• Facilitate safe transitions for patients within various care settings, including from the Emergency Department to hospital admissions or higher levels of care.
Qualifications:
• Associate Degree in Nursing
• Active State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License
• BLS certification required upon hire
• Experience in Emergency Department is highly preferred
