Position Overview: As an Endoscopy RN, you'll play a vital role in assisting physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures. Work alongside a collaborative team that fosters a family-like atmosphere. Your Responsibilities Will Include: • Applying the nursing process effectively in the peri-operative environment. • Preparing endoscopy suites adequately for procedures. • Scheduling patients in accordance with established protocols. • Educating and supporting patients, ensuring their comfort before procedures. • Adhering to moderate sedation protocols and monitoring patient conditions. • Identifying and addressing potential complications during procedures. • Documenting patient responses and recognizing changes in their conditions. • Creating a supportive environment that prioritizes quality patient care. Qualifications: • Associates Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred. • Active Florida RN license or approved multistate RN license. • BLS certification required within 30 days of hire. • ACLS certification from the American Heart Association is also required. • Acute care nursing experience is essential; endoscopy experience is preferred. • CGRN certification is a plus.
