
PRN Registered Nurse - Nights in Boring, OR
Job Description

Our residential treatment program specializes in the care of adults dealing with Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, and Exercise Addiction. As a Registered Nurse, your primary responsibility will lie in delivering comprehensive patient care services, including evaluation, monitoring, planning, and administration of nursing protocols. You will maintain an active nursing license in the state and collaborate closely with treatment providers as a vital member of the Treatment Team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Initiate the admission process, including obtaining provider orders and conducting initial nursing assessments.
• Monitor vital signs, conduct assessments, and document findings accurately.
• Track patient progress in collaboration with established policies.
• Assist in weekly patient consultations alongside providers.
• Educate and support patients in the self-administration of medications post-discharge.
• Ensure proper medication placement and updates to medication administration records.
• Facilitate pharmacy orders and lab specimen collections as needed.
Additional Responsibilities:
• Demonstrate knowledge of medication actions and side effects and research unfamiliar medications as necessary.
• Maintain accurate patient records and support a therapeutic environment.
• Communicate pertinent information to the treatment team to enhance patient care.
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure a safe transition.
• Attend team meetings and contribute positively to the therapeutic milieu.
Qualifications:
• Graduation from an accredited nursing school is required.
• A minimum of one year of nursing experience is preferred.
• Valid nursing licensure is required.
• CPR/First Aid certification is mandatory.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work dependably, be punctual, and show strong safety awareness.
• Team-oriented with good organizational skills and flexibility.
