Job Summary:

The Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role in providing surgical nursing care, collaborating with a skilled healthcare team to ensure the best outcomes for patients. As an RN, you will:
• Assist in both emergency and scheduled surgeries.
• Work closely with surgeons and surgical teams to ensure optimal care for all patients.
• Communicate effectively with patients' families regarding their loved one's care.
• Organize and manage necessary surgical supplies.
• Perform thorough assessments before, during, and after surgery, maintaining a sterile environment.
• Implement safety checks to protect patients during procedures.
• Administer medications according to physician orders.
• Engage patients and their support persons in the post-operative care process.

Qualifications:
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher).
• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice or an active Compact/Multi-State RN license.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA or American Red Cross required.
• A minimum of 1 year of perioperative nursing experience is essential.
• Obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 30 days of employment.
