This full-time opportunity offers 36-hours per week, full benefits, and a convenient schedule. There is opportunity for overtime and to cover various shifts if interested. Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities • Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine mental health needs and develop individualized care plans. • Administer medications, including psychotropic drugs, following established protocols and safety guidelines. • Monitor patient progress, document clinical observations accurately and adjust care plans as necessary. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including psychiatrists, social workers, and therapists—to coordinate effective treatment strategies. • Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques to manage acute behavioral episodes safely. • Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and medication administration. • Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security. • Follow aseptic techniques during procedures such as suturing or specimen collection when applicable. Skills • Valid RN license with current registration in the state of Florida. • Experience working in psychiatric or behavioral health settings with diverse patient populations is preferred. • Knowledge of mental health disorders, pharmacology—including psychotropic medications—and therapeutic interventions. • Strong assessment skills with the ability to recognize critical changes in patient condition promptly. • Familiarity with crisis management, triage procedures, and de-escalation techniques. • Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations within fast-paced environments such as emergency rooms or inpatient units. • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with healthcare teams and educating patients effectively.
