A skilled Registered Nurse with a focus on psychiatric and addiction care is needed to support an acute adult psychiatric unit. Responsibilities include: • Delivering nursing care consistent with professional standards, including patient assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation. • Managing complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families. • Administering medications and treatments following established protocols, monitoring effectiveness and potential side effects. • Documenting detailed patient history, symptoms, treatments, and responses. • Educating patients, families, and caregivers on health conditions and care plans. • Demonstrating leadership through effective delegation and supporting team dynamics. Qualifications and desired experience: • Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred. • Minimum of one year experience in psychiatric nursing preferred. • Current Registered Nurse license valid in New Mexico or through the Nurse Licensure Compact. • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association (AHA). Work Schedule: • Full-time, day shift from 7 AM to 7 PM.
