Psychiatric Nurse (RN) | Chester, Vermont in Chester, VT

An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse (RN) with specialized psychiatric experience to provide critical care on an adolescent inpatient unit. This role demands a highly skilled and compassionate professional comfortable working with adolescents facing co-occurring psychiatric and substance use disorders. The position begins promptly on January 5th and is a contract assignment.

Responsibilities include collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team to assess individual and group needs, applying the nursing process to deliver complex clinical care, and supervising Mental Health Workers to ensure safe and therapeutic interventions. The program focuses on 24-hour support in a secure environment, emphasizing sobriety maintenance and psychiatric stabilization in adolescents managing conditions such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety.

Key Qualifications:
• Active RN license with psychiatric nursing experience
• Proven ability to manage and provide care for adolescent patients with co-occurring mental health and substance abuse conditions
• Experience working within multidisciplinary teams in inpatient settings
• Strong clinical supervision skills and ability to mentor mental health staff
• Availability to start on the required date without exception
