Job Description
An opportunity is available for a skilled Registered Nurse with a focus on psychiatric and medical-surgical care, specifically within pediatric settings. This contract role requires a professional who has expertise working with pediatric behavioral health and med-surg patients, combining compassion and clinical proficiency to provide top-quality patient care.
Key Qualifications:
• Registered Nurse licensed to practice in Missouri
• Minimum of 1 year of travel nursing experience
• Experience working in pediatric behavioral health and medical-surgical units
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
• Prior experience in Pediatrics is highly desirable
• Ability to manage patient ratios of 1:3 or 1:4, consistent with inpatient care standards
Schedule:
• Night shift, 3 shifts per week
• 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
Responsibilities:
• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients experiencing behavioral health and medical-surgical conditions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Monitor patient status and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for patients and families
• Document patient care accurately and timely, adhering to facility standards and protocols
