A Registered Nurse with psychiatric experience is needed for a contract position in Fuquay Varina, NC, supporting short-term acute care settings. This opportunity focuses on behavioral health with a tele/medical-surgical nursing background preferred. Position Details • Night shifts: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM 7:00 AM) • Contract assignment with a call-off policy limiting cancellations to 2 shifts per 13 weeks • Floating required between related units and neighboring facilities within approximately 50 miles Qualifications and Experience • Minimum 2 years nursing experience in medical-surgical or telemetry units • Valid BLS certification required • Comfort with mental health patient care and behavioral health nursing • Ability to adapt to floating among similar units and facilities • First-time travelers accepted and pending licenses considered Responsibilities • Provide direct nursing care to patients in a behavioral health and medical-surgical setting • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement patient care plans • Maintain accurate patient documentation using Epic charting system • Adhere to facility protocols and safety standards while delivering compassionate care Additional Information • Scrub colors: Royal blue and white • Return staff policy applies: a one-year break required before rejoining as a traveler • Contract extension allowed once before a six-month gap is required This contract role offers the chance to expand your psychiatric nursing expertise within a respected acute care environment.
