Position Overview
Join a mission-driven team dedicated to improving maternal and community health. We’re seeking an experienced and compassionate Public/Community Health Nurse (PHN) to lead the daily operations of our Maternity Clinic Services. This advanced nursing role is essential in supporting healthy pregnancies through direct patient care, education, and strong collaboration with healthcare partners.
You will guide a team of nurses, ensure compliance with the Maternal Health Contract Addenda, and coordinate prenatal and delivery services with local OB-GYN practices and medical centers. You’ll also work closely with the Pregnancy Home Management Program to ensure expectant mothers receive comprehensive, high-quality care.
This position is ideal for a motivated nurse with strong clinical judgment, leadership skills, and a passion for public health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage daily maternity clinic operations
• Supervise and support nursing staff
• Coordinate prenatal and delivery services with partner healthcare institutions
• Implement and monitor Maternal Health Contract Addenda
• Assist with budgeting and resource planning
• Develop and evaluate individualized prenatal care plans
• Collaborate with physicians, healthcare professionals, and regulatory agencies
Minimum Qualifications
• Active RN license in North Carolina
• 2+ years of public or community health nursing experience preferred
• Current CPR certification (if applicable)
• TB screening (questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray as required)
• Current health certificate (per contract/state regulations)
• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
