Recovery Nurse/Back Nurse for GI Office 1+Yr Nursing EXP REQ in Virginia Beach, VA

Overview We are a small, independently-owned GI practice with two physicians and one PA, seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in Gastroenterology and be proficient in assisting with endoscopies, colonoscopies, pre- and post-op recovery, as well as performing tasks such as starting IVs and processing scopes. This position offers the opportunity to work with a close-knit team of professionals in a supportive environment. Responsibilities: • Start IVs, monitor patient vitals, and assist with pre- and post-operative care. • Ensure the efficient processing and maintenance of scopes and other GI equipment. • Provide compassionate, high-quality patient care before, during, and after procedures. • Maintain organized and accurate patient records and charting. • Work collaboratively with the medical team to ensure smooth daily operations. Qualifications: • Active LPN Nurse license in the state of Virginia. • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a GI setting. • Proficient in assisting with colonoscopies and endoscopies. • Experience with IV insertion, patient recovery, and scope processing. • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently. • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment. • A compassionate, patient-focused attitude. Work Schedule: • Four-day work week, (typically 6:45am - 4pm) • Occasional Saturdays as needed. • No on-call shifts or evenings.
